  • Sit up with back straight, shoulders back and keep your feet flat on the floor.
  • Bodyweight should be distributed evenly on both the buttocks & it should touch the back of the chair.
  • Avoid sitting in the same position for more than 30 minutes.
  • The monitor should be directly in front of the user and it should be at an arm’s length, with top of the screen at eye level.
  • The keyboard should be placed in front while typing & a gap of about four to six inches (100–150 mm) should be left at the front of the desk to rest wrists.
  • Elbows should stay close to the body.
  • Feet should be fully supported by the floor or a footrest may be used if the desk height is not adjustable.
  • The back should be fully supported with appropriate lumbar support when sitting vertical or leaning back slightly.
  • Thighs and hips should be supported by a well-padded seat. placed parallel to the floor.
    -Knees & hips should be about at the same high with the feet slightly forward.
  • While working, looking into the distance or even just closing your eyes in a regular interval also gives your eyes a break.“This is total relaxation for your eyes”.
